I am in Utah for 2 weeks, but after my 8th day, I decided to share some insights on places to go, specifically in Provo, Park City and Sundance.
Provo is 45 minutes away from Salt Lake City. I thought it was going to be a small town, but there is a ton of dining, shopping, etc here! 2nd Track Sports- Snow sporting good store, with great prices on brand name items AhiMuse - Sushi restaurant with amazing, fresh sushi at a great price! Quick and friendly service Vasa (University) - Gym. Very much like a LA Fitness or Lifetime. Had all the amenities just really over crowded. Ivie - Juice and smoothie bar that has amazing protein shakes and smoothies! On top of that, I got a 16 oz smoothie with plant based protein and coconut milk for $8! Something like that in Chicago would be $13. Their cold pressed juices are amazing too. Park City - Such a gorgeous town. It is about an hour away from but the drive was quick and painless. You could probably spend hours at this place, even if you were not snowboard or skiing! Definitely check out High West Saloon. Very cool vibe, and is great for the whiskey (and non whiskey) enthusiast! Sundance - I was kind of disappointed because so many people talked it up. Plus I went to Park City the day before, which set expectations high. It is a very small ski resort. To demo Burton gear for the day is was only $45! The mountain was pretty easy to learn, and the runs were quick. The snow wasn't great, but Utah isn't having the best winter this year. After boarding, I went to the Owl Bar. SO GOOD! I had the Crab Potato Cakes, and the Steak Nachos. On top of it, you are in a cozy log cabin listening to classic rock: ZZ Top, Hendrix and the like. If you can't find time to ski or board, definitely stop by the Owl Bar at the base. I hope you find my reviews helpful! Please feel free to message me any questions. See ya next Tuesday!
