Why do a review on an eyeshadow palette?! Because it is a commitment, not only is a commitment when it comes to price, but also when it comes to time (because they usually last a year or two)!
I have used palettes from Tarte, Dior and now Bobbi Brown. By far, I have enjoyed Bobbie Brown! Why? It's only $59! Plus, I got it in June 2018 and it is still going strong. Then to put the the cherry on top, it is a great mix of matte and shimmer. The Tarte palette was too much matte, so I want to switch it up! If you want to give it a try, you can buy it from Sephora, Amazon, JCPenny, etc. Learn more by watching my vlog! See ya next Tuesday! Hey Hey Hey! I ordered 7 swimsuits from Zaful and I want to share my opinion on the site and the items!
I liked 4 out of the 7. The 3 I didn't like was because of fit, material and cut -- I am picky when it comes to swimsuits! Watch my video to learn more about the swimsuits and my experience with Zaful! See ya next Tuesday! RAM Twitter: @RandomAccessMeg Instagram: @RandomAccessMeghann SoundCloud: @RandomAccessMeghann Touchy subject for me, but I chose to put my life, opinions, etc. out for all to hear and see. A consequence of having Crohn's, I have lost a lot of hair around the crown of my head. I have seen naturopaths, acupuncturist, nutritionist, dermatologists, and so to help me with saving my hair.
I know, I know, Meghann why do you dye it so much? Take better care of the hair you have!! Well I am not ready to let go of my quarterly hair visits, I love to express myself through my hair! After visiting with my dermatologist last summer (August 2018), I decided to give Rogaine a shot. It has been 6 months, and although I have seen minor changes I am not completely set on quitting or continuing Rogaine. Check out my video to learn more about my experience, how to use it, pictures of different timeframes, and more. See ya next Tuesday! RAM Twitter: @RandomAccessMeg Instagram: @RandomAccessMeghann SoundCloud: @RandomAccessMeghann My favorite 15-min HIIT Cardio Workout!! It's 15 minutes on the treadmill, or outside if you can push yourself to sprint and I mean sprint!
In the video I explain beginner (not really a runner), intermediate (runner, but don't like to run) and advanced (badass, loves running). How it works-- 45 sec sprint 30 sec walk For 15 minutes. I start at a 5.5 MPH on the treadmill, and each sprint I add 0.2 or 0.3 to the last sprint I completed. If I am having an off-day, I will start at 5.0MPH. Walk can be defined as anywhere between 2.0-4.0MPH. My Schedule: 0-0.45 -- 5.5 Sprint 0.45-1:15 -- Walk 1:15- 2:00 -- 5.8 Sprint 2:00-2:30 -- Walk 2:30-3:15 -- 6.0 Sprint 3:15-3:45 -- Walk 3:45-4:30 -- 6.2 Sprint 4:30-5:00 -- Walk 5:00-5:45 -- 6.5 Sprint 5:45-6:15 -- Walk 6:15-7:00 -- 6.7 Sprint 7:00-7:30 -- Walk 7:30-8:15 -- 6.9 Sprint 8:15-8:45 -- Walk 8:45-9:30 -- 7.1 Sprint 9:30-10:00 -- Walk 10:00-10:45 -- 7.2 Sprint 10:45-11:15 -- Walk 11:15-12:00 -- 7.4 Sprint 12:00-12:30 -- Walk 12:30-13:15 -- 7.6 Sprint 13:15-13:45 -- Walk 13:45-14:30 -- 7.8 Sprint 14:30-15:00 -- Walk I don't recommend doing this more than 4x a week. Why? It can be pretty hard on your body. The whole idea of HIIT is to kickstart your body to burn the maximum amount of calories, in a minimum amount of the time. The short burst of "all out" with short periods of "active rest" to make your body work harder. The days you do this you may notice yourself running "hot" post-workout or hours after work. If you have something monitoring your heart rate like a Fitbit, you will notice your heart rate going into fat burn randomly throughout the day or evening. RAM Twitter: @RandomAccessMeg Instagram: @RandomAccessMeghann SoundCloud: @RandomAccessMeghann This recipe is quick, easy, and really delicious!!
It is a gluten free sandwich with Bacon, Avocado, Arugula and Tomato! First, a quick tip on how to make bacon: - Lay all the bacon slices on a baking sheet - Preheat oven to 400 degrees - Put bacon in the oven while it preheats, and have it in there for 15 minutes. - The bacon comes out perfectly!!! How I make this perfect sandwich? - After I make the bacon, I toast my gluten bread. - Butter one piece of toast, and spread avocado on the other piece of toast - Lay a slice of tomato on the avocado, and sprinkle salt and pepper - Put arugula on top of the tomato - Lay bacon slices on top of the arugula TA DA! Enjoy this delicious and nutritious treat any time of day: breakfast, lunch or dinner! RAM Twitter: @RandomAccessMeg Instagram: @RandomAccessMeghann SoundCloud: @RandomAccessMeghann I did it! I tried Powdered Dipped Nails! Not once, but three times.
I always get gel manicures, but because I am so hard on my nails my manicurist told me to give powdered dipped nails a try. Gel manicure is $40 Powder Dip manicure is $45 It is slightly more, but I think it is because it last longer than 3 weeks. I haven't used powder dip before, because I have thin & brittle nails and I assumed it caused more damage. Along with this, I thought you needed long nails to use it. This type of manicure not only last a lot longer, but it also keeps the integrity of your natural nails! The application is straight forward, more in vid, and the removal is too! If you want to learn more and see pics of my manicures at the beginning and at the end of three weeks, watch my video! See ya next Tuesday! RAM Twitter: @RandomAccessMeg Instagram: @RandomAccessMeghann SoundCloud: @RandomAccessMeghann We finally went to Puerto Rico and loved every minute of it!
A few variable that made us book our trip: flight time, flight costly, nightly stay, and THE WEATHER! I had a huge list of things to do and see, but we ended up relaxing way more than expected. We had Puerto Rican coffee at Gustos (so good!) Pina Coladas and tons of food! Our fav restaurants: iSushi, 1919, Carli's, Serafina, Tacos & Tequila, and Oceano. The food was amazing. The seafood was so fresh, definitely a must-have. If you want to learn more about our trip, watch now! See ya next Tuesday! RAM Twitter: @RandomAccessMeg Instagram: @RandomAccessMeghann SoundCloud: @RandomAccessMeghann I thought I would continue with my health and wellness streak for January, and share a review on the book "The Complete Guide to Fasting."
This book is great for those of us that are interested in the concept of fasting -- Why fast? What benefits do you get from it? How does it work? When do should you fast? Not only does this book answer all these questions, but it provides a history lesson on fasting, use cases and a 100+ pg PDF filled with recipes, schedules, charts, figures, and quotes. I tried fasting after reading this book! Watch my video to learn more. See ya next Tuesday! RAM Twitter: @RandomAccessMeg Instagram: @RandomAccessMeghann SoundCloud: @RandomAccessMeghann Why reset? I go through times where I am not feeling my very best, and I hit that during my annual sales meeting in Salt Lake City. I had a 3-day headache that would not go away with Tylenol Extra, caffeine or sleep!
When I got back from SLC, I decided it was time to reset my body and focus on clean, nutritious eating and drinking for a week. When I say clean, I mean CLEAN! No sugar, alcohol, grains, dairy, gluten, soy, or eggs. My goal was to consume anything and everything that has GREAT nutritional value to detox and nourish my body. I started working out on day 3 because I was nursing a mean headache for the first few days. By the end of the week, I felt like a million bucks: lighter, energetic, positive, and less stressed! I lost 6 lbs, which was not intentional but a plus! On top of that, my skin is back to its glowy self. Before this week, my skin was cracking and flaking -- It was crazy!
