Holidays tend to get me down since I can't eat much of the item that are typically served, so I decided share one of my favorite desserts!
This Apple Crisp is gluten free, and dairy free! It could be considered vegan since there are no eggs too! YAY!
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes or until golden brown
5 apples (any kind! I use Apple crisp)
2 tsp of lemon juice
1 tbspn of vanilla extract
1 tbspn of cinnamon
1/2 tspn of nutmeg
1/2 cp of sugar
2 cups of almond flour
1/2 cup of coconut oil
1 cup of chopped pecans
Toss the peeled and chopped apples in lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.
Spread the apples in the glass baking dish.
Combine almond meal, pecans, cinnamon, and melted coconut oil. Then spread this mixture over the apples.
Cover with foil, and bake for 20 mins.
Uncover, and bake for another 10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
